Sunset FFA students built and raced a cardboard boat at the Kamome Festival, earning first place—click to find out more!

Sunset High School’s FFA students put their creativity and teamwork to the test this week as they designed and built a cardboard boat for the Kamome Festival’s cardboard boat race. Using only cardboard and duct tape, the team engineered an impressive boat complete with a motor, live well, steering wheel, and even a cup holder. Their hard work paid off as they took home first place! In addition to their own success, the students also built two extra boats for members of the visiting delegation from Japan and Chris Howard to participate in the race. Congratulations to Landon, Bentley, James, and Cam for an outstanding achievement and for representing Sunset so well!
