Yesterday, our Sunset students had the opportunity to hear from an incredible motivational speaker, Dee Hankins, who shared a powerful message about resilience, choices, and moving forward.

He spoke openly about going through some really tough things in life and reminded our students that what you’ve been through does not have to define who you become. You can make different choices, change your direction, and build a better life for yourself.

What really stood out was the connection he made with our kids. When the assembly ended, many students stayed behind just to talk with him, ask questions, and share a little of their own stories. That says a lot.

Our students come to us with all kinds of experiences, and sometimes they need to hear from someone who has been through hard things and come out the other side. Yesterday was one of those days where you could tell the message really landed.
